Comment (by rick):

 The options does not seems to reduce the memory footprint by some 15
 percent how-ever the base footprint is still rather large, in the order of
 100MB. I will try to evaluate alternatives [https://www.yadifa.eu/ YADIFA]
 and [https://gdnsd.org/history.html gdnsd].
